Kooltra Expands SOC 2 Type 2 Examination Categories

[Toronto, Aug 2024] – Kooltra Ltd., a leader in end-to-end foreign exchange and global payments infrastructure, proudly announces the successful completion of its expanded Type 2 System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) examination for the Kooltra Platform service. The original examination, conducted by AssurancePoint, LLC, covered the period from January 1, 2023 to March 31, 2023 to satisfy the requirements for Security. An additional examination was completed for the period of Jan 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024, to satisfy the requirements for Availability. 

The SOC 2 examination evaluates an organization’s controls relevant to system security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. It is designed to provide users with assurance about the effectiveness of these controls. Kooltra’s examinations focused on the Security and Availability categories and concluded with an unqualified (clean) opinion, with zero control exceptions identified.

Conducted by an independent CPA firm with deep expertise, the examination confirms that Kooltra has met its service commitments and system requirements as measured by the SOC 2 criteria for Security and Availability.
